St. Andrew's v Tri-County, 8-44

Our last game of the season. Unfortunately we didn't walk away with a win. But our guys played hard against a well-trained Tri-County team in this game, which we exchanged series with the 5th grade Saints team.

It's been fun watching these great young men mature into athletes this year, physically, mentally and emotionally. They've worked hard, and I'm proud of them. They have great things ahead of them as they go up into middle school football, and I expect to see great things throughout their grade school football careers.

St. Andrew's v MSD 27-18

"Nothing like a victory," says Coach Warren Kennedy, and I think we all agree. It was fun to see these young men put it all together and put one in the win column and see all their hard work pay off.

"Great win this past Saturday," says Head Coach Kelly Hardwick. "All the boys played hard and gave good effort. It is looking like they are coming together as a team. We just need to buckle down and continue to play with enthusiasm."

Some of the game stats/highlights:

John William Hardwick: One rushing TD, two passing TDs
Scott Kennedy: Two TD receptions
Ryan McCarty: Two conversion scores, rushing yardage
Nate Carraway: One conversion score
Jake Waring: Fumble recovery for a TD
William Garrard: Stopped conversion, rushing yardage
Jack Harth: Tremendous tackles on MSD's nearly unstoppable QB

St. Andrew's v Christ Covenant 0-8

Flu and sickness ravaged our team, leaving us with only 10 players on game day. Thankfully, several members of the 5th grade squad volunteered to play with us, rounding our guys out. Still, a few of our guys were still playing sick. But you would've never known it by their attitude.

For the first time, I saw these young men really play as a team. They played with a lot of heart and determination. It was heartbreaking for that to not be rewarded with a win, but life isn't fair sometimes. I was so proud of them and the way they played that game.

Stats (incomplete):

Tackles: Ryan McCarty-3, Jack Harth-1, Jack Walker-1, Jack Blumenthal-2

Rushing: Ryan McCarty-20, John William Hardwick-6, Nate Carraway-1

Passing: John William Hardwick-7 yards

Interceptions: John William Hardwick-1

Fumble recoveries: Jack Walker-1
